Henry began his dance training with the Penang Hui Yin Seah Dance Group, where he was trained in ballet, and Chinese traditional dance. Prior to this, he was trained under Charlie Tan in modern contemporary dance. He has performed several times in the Malaysian Chinese Dance Festival. In 1995, he took part in the National School Level Dance Competition with his 1st choreography, ‘Exam Time’. Today, he has decided to further explore the possibilities of contemporary dance by focusing in choreography. At the end of 2002, he presented ‘The Voice of Silence’ in Dance Species, Contemporary Dance Performance in Penang, followed by ‘A Date’ in Dance Species 2. A comment by reporter from Kwang Hwa Daily about ‘A Date’: “Choreographer Henry Khor used his talent in body language to perform the strength and power of contemporary dance excellently. Choreographer’s skill has improved tremendously from ‘The Voice of Silence’ to ‘A Date’.
In June 2003, Henry formed Dance Four Five, together with a few friends with the same fervor and passion in performing arts.
Henry’s choreography includes: 'Exam Time', 'Wild City', 'A Waiting', 'Dance! Life! Emotion!', and recent choreographies are ‘The Voice of Silent’ ‘A Date’, 'The Game', 'Whisper of her heart' and 'Her...'
